I have been a music lover all my life and made the progression from 8-tracks --> LP's --> CD's --> iPod and enjoyed every step of the way. For the past few years I've carried my iPod everywhere... connect it in the car, dock it at work and home. With around 15,000 songs, I've had my entire library with me at all times! Pretty powerful device. A few months back (winter 2010) I was in the basement and decided to drag out my old turntable and LP's, for a trip down memory lane. After all... I never repurchased things like Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath on CD, so I hadn't listened to it for a while, probably 15 years or more. I was surprised by the quality of sound coming from my speakers. I know there has long been debate about CD vs LP and I don't really know about all of that but I do know I was enjoying listening to music much more than I had in a long time. Taking my music with me wherever I went (iPod) and having it play, turned music into background noise, but physically handling, playing and maybe even reading the cover & jacket of LP's forces you to actually listen to it! It has been great buying and listening to new stuff on album.

I quickly realized that it can be difficult to find vinyl, especially in good shape. I went to used record stores and thought they were either WAY overpriced for used records or didn't have a wide variety. Most places, both online and brick and mortar, tend to have the more expensive stuff but not the lower end... unless you want to by a ton of Dean Martin and The Carpenters. Obviously eBay can be a good resource and I bought a bit on there but either shipping quadruples the cost of the item or you purchase large lots and after a while start to have doubles and triples of the "filler" that all the sellers put in. It's difficult to find one seller that has a handful of LP's you want and will combine shipping. So I bought a few collections from people offline. This store is my attempt to create a space for the "common" vinyl LP's that you can purchase and get at a fair price... especially if buying more than one. I hope there is a little something for everyones taste.
